Sharnice the Singer was brought up in the DMV territory on October 5th. Singing since she could speak, Sharnice knew by age 9 that she needed to go to Duke Ellington School of the performing Arts. She tried out and was acknowledged into Duke in 2007 where she examined vocal music with Angela Powell- Walker as her vocal mentor (Classic and Opera) and piano for a long time.

Experiencing childhood in D.C was somewhat intense however Sharnice tried to encompass herself with music. In 2013 she could no longer resist the pull of Live performing and opened for the well-known local group, Junk Yard Band. When she left the stage at the close of that performance she knew she had to have more. She has been an independent artist since 2013, pushing herself to write her own music, record, release music, and constantly network the extensive musical scene in D.C.
